For creators
Teach the people who just found it.
Biotadex turns a walk into a collecting game: point the phone at a bird, plant, bug or mushroom, learn what it is, and keep it in your own field guide. If you make videos about nature, there are two ways to work with us, and you can do both.
Two programmes, one application
Educator, affiliate, or both.
- Affiliate: 20% of what your sign-ups spend. You get a personal code. When someone new signs up with it, they get 5 free scans, and for their first 90 days you earn 20% of everything they buy in the app: Biotadex Pro, scan packs and the rest. Share it however you like: a pinned comment, your bio, a video about your walk.
- Field Educator: your videos on the species you teach. Link videos you have already made to the species in them. When a player finds that species, your video shows on its card at the moment they are most curious, playing in your own YouTube, TikTok or Instagram player with a Follow button. Educators get a verified tick on their Biotadex profile. Video linking opens in the app in the coming weeks, and approved educators get it first.
Your existing videos work. If you film a walk with Biotadex, great, but nobody is asking for a script.
Five free scans for anyone who signs up with your code, on top of the free scans every player gets.
Videos play in your own player, so plays and follows count on your channel, not ours.
Your dashboard shows your sign-ups, what they bought, what you have earned and what you have been paid.
How the money works
You earn when they love it.
For the first 90 days after someone signs up with your code, you earn 20% of what we actually receive from every purchase they make in the app, after tax and the App Store or Google Play fee. That covers the first year of Biotadex Pro and every scan pack. So the more you show what the app can do, Pro included, the more you earn. A $39.99 Pro year earns you about $6.80.
Each commission confirms 30 days after the purchase, once it can no longer be refunded. Confirmed earnings are paid monthly by PayPal or Venmo once they reach $20. Paid posts need a clear #ad or #affiliate, which is the law in the US and most places, not just our rule. The full terms are on one short page.
- 20% of net sales. From sign-ups on or after the day you apply.
- 90 days per player. Everything they buy in their first 90 days, including the first year of Pro.
- Confirmed after 30 days. Refunded purchases do not count.
- Paid monthly. PayPal or Venmo, from a $20 confirmed balance.
- A Biotadex account is required. Your code is your account's invite code, and your dashboard signs in with the same email.
- Free to download. App Store · Google Play

Tell us about your channel.
- Install Biotadex. It is free on iPhone and Android.
- Create your account in the app. Your username is on your profile. Your creator code is tied to this account.
- Come back and apply with that username.
We review every application by hand, usually within two days, and email you when you are approved. Your code then shows on your dashboard, which is also where you tell us where to send your earnings.
